Hey all just wanted to get some feedback and advice as im rowing blind here of what times i should be looking for in the distances mentioned in the subject.

I am a 5 foot 8 inches 24 year old male and my weight is 105kg (231 pounds). I have been doing the 2000m for about a month once a week or so and have got my time down from 9 mins 45 seconds to 8 mins 55 seconds and i attempted the 5000m today for the first time getting a time of 24 mins 5 seconds.

Any thoughts on what i should be aiming for and also what "resistance" someone like me should be putting the machine on.

Thanks in advance

  • I'm 5'3, 25 year old female, currently 69kg.

I do 2000m in roughly 11-12 minutes. I've worked out it's about 6 minutes per km for me.

I do it on the highest resistance, 10.

I'm 26 years old, female, 5'7", 150 pounds. My best time for a 2k is 8:50. I put the damper (the resistance) between 5 and 6.

Think of the damper as you would gears on a bike. The concept 2 website explains it a bit here:
