I cannot break 10 pounds lost. Everytime i get around it a "life situation" happens and it goes back to 6 then 4 then the other day i was so ashamed it went to 0. I know i am not consistant and i havent been logging. I know carbs are my biggest problem (was on atkins for two weeks then couldnt afford "their" food, now i'm back eating junk and the like). However i have not managed to break 10 pounds no matter what!!! I'm one of those that needs to be told what to eat and there isn't anyone here saying anything except baby i'm hungry can you get some cerial for me? Or mommy can i have my chips? I try to cook nutritiously but i have no willpower!!!
I guess what i'm saying is ANY SUGGESTIONS BESIDES JUST DONT EAT IT AND LOG LOG LOG AND WORKOUT WORKOUT WORKOUT???????

Your profile picture is so pretty..you make a gorgeous couple for sure. Im pretty new at this and dont have a lot of tried and true advice to offer other than to say....
KEEP IN MIND HOW AWESOME you're gonna look standing next to that gorgeous husband of yours in that beautiful formal gown as you stand on the deck of that cruise ship he's booked you on. THINK how proud you'll be........how good you'll feel....picture the look on your husbands face as he stands there next to you with his arm around you holding you close......see the look in his eyes....feel his hand on your back and his heart beaming with love and pride.
Good Luck and stand strong.....you CAN do this

what about going lowER carb but not to Atkins low? That is what I have done, and it has worked miracles for me! This weekend has been a BAD food weekend for me, but generally I eat ~100g net per day, and honestly, I eat some things DAILY. Every morning my breakfast starts with 2 scrambled eggs, 2-4 slices of soy bacon...then I add cottage cheese, blackberries, OR a high fiber/low carb tortilla. For lunch I eat a huge salad with romaine lettuce, cucumbers, 1/3 cup cheese, 2-4 oz of protein ( usually shaved turkey). Dinner is usually a portion of whatever I have made for the family, portions or sides adjusted to fit my macros.
It took me 3 MONTHS to break 7lbs lost...then I cut my carbs down, and I have lost 17lbs in the last 3 months
ETA: I think what helps me is allowing myself to have treats--normal ones! Today I had a mini magnum ice cream bar. Other days I will have a mini candy bar...one night I had a kids size ice cream cone with the family.0 -
i have 3 kids and i stay home too, try to drink slim fast as snacks and a lot of water , or try to eat a lot of bananas like drink a slim fast with a banana if u r still hungry eat as many bananas as u can, then when its time for lunch or dinner you are going to be less hungry , i know how to loose weight but is hard for me to keep it when my kids are asking for food all day and everytime i get mad at them i just go and eat something and feel better, right now im trying to control myself and stop eating juml food0

It must be so frustrating that your husband has lost weight while you have put it on HOWEVER....you should not be so hard on yourself. Men loose faster plus YOU went through pregnancy and YOU prepare the meals and snacks. It IS so difficult when you are the one "in charge" of the food. Cut yourself a break and instead focus on how to plan your meals....I also get bogged down reading so many "diet" plans and I know that different things work for different people....Perhaps you can sit down and plan out your meals and have plenty of fresh fruit and vegatables READY for you...That way when you serve chips, you can eat some carrots....when you serve ice-cream you can have a juice popsicle or yogurt and fruit. I use to make different meals for my family, but now I plan healthier dinners (that they will still eat) and stay within my calorie limits. I don't feel as deprived and even though the weight is coming of slower than it did when I was on Atkins or a VLCD, I know this is something that I can stick too. I celebrate that I stayed true to my plan more than the movement on the scale....yes, I want to lose but I have found slow and steady wins the race because it is a lifestyle change not just a temporary fix.0

Well, for starters stop beating up on yourself. Doesn't do a thing for you and eventually it'll leave scars.
I've bounced up and down on the 20lb mark for weeks, I feel like I'm on a trampoline. For me, its been life things, celebrations, hubby's work had a beach party, things like that. And I'm heavy for emotional reasons, not just because I like to eat. My advice (which is how I'm doing it) is to focus on eating right and trusting the universe to finally get the idea that I'm serious about losing weight and stop throwing things up in my way. Yeah, a little foo-foo, but it works for me. This week I broke through and held it below 210 (I weigh in tomorrow morning, I"m eating a bowl of broccoli for supper tonight so I'll be sure to keep the momentum going).
For me this weight loss thing is as much mental as its being physical. I'm determined to lose the pounds and wear pretty clothes, to be around for my grandchildren (I"m 51 and my daughter is only 15), and I want to shed the "fat barrier" I've kept around myself for 20 years.0 -
Thank you everyone, and i have alot of planning and thinking to do. I think i might break it when the kids start school next week. I'll have more time for me!0
