Hi everyone, just found this site from my girlfriend and looking for some advice. I'm a 21 year old male who's been underweight pretty much all my life. I weigh just under 140 lbs and I want to weigh 150. I want to gain this weight over the next couple months and I'm eating healthier as well. My question is should I be running? I started jogging, about 5 kms taking me about 20 minutes. Will I be able to gain weight as fast while still being able to jog? I'd like to keep my cardio in shape.
Also, what kind of weightlifting should I be doing? 10 lbs is a lot, but I also would rather look more defined than bulky.
Thanks!

I would keep jogging. You want to gain weight but still be in shape so why not jog if you enjoy it. Have you looked into GNC to find some weight gain stuff to help you in that area? I would gladly give you the extra i have on me you want to gain 10 I want to loose 30. Meet you in the middle.0

To get more advice on this, I would repost with a topic that is more specific asking for help from the very fit and foxy guys on here who will give you advice. Doing cardio and weight lifting while eating plenty of calories will help you get a nice physique if you are on the thin side now. MFP can help you keep track to be sure you are eating enough calories to pack on those sexy muscles. Welcome!0

Dude, Try this, it is free. I tried it years ago when i weighed 115 lbs for so long. Then i read and studied the Charles Atlas course and I was like wow, i got bigger musles all over. Eating what he recommended also helps tremendously. I got up to 170lbs in one years work, well, about 10 months. I really wanted to be more muscular and it worked for me! http://ebookee.org/Charles-Atlas-Full-Bodybuilding-Course_456199.html0

I've tried weigh gainer before, but it's never really done much for me. I'd rather make myself a shake consisting of raw eggs, yogurt, fruits, etc. I'm also taking a multi vitamin.0
