Working out 2 times a day?

I have been doing the Insanity workouts in the evenings, still on the first month, and I love them!
However, I have free days at the moment and all I want to do is go for just a 25 min jog during the daytime - so I do.
I have 2 questions really:
- I never seem to feel hungry (only thirsty) after my runs and I don't like to eat 5 hours before insanity as I get very sick for some reason. However, I am NOT a starver and I understand my body needs nutrition. Should I eat regardless of my lack of appetite?
- Also, I usually have a protein shake after insanity... should I only stick to one? Or have one after my run too?
Thanks guys... any help would be soooo appreciated.
Hope you're all going well. x

I would say Yes you need to eat, I think one protein shake a day is enough and if you need to add calories I would add real food Chicken or something high in protein !
Insanity is Great but I have the same issue with eating before, 2 hours is working for me at the moment !! Not fun getting sick during insanity !0 -
yes eat regardless of appetite.
HIIT workouts like the ones you do in insanity have an effect on the hormones that regulate your appetite to the point where they can take your appetite away. your body still needs to that fuel.
alsoinstead of drinking 2 protein shakes you can always just use 2 scoops.
also sorry i dont see why there's a need to have a protein shake after a 25 minute jog. it's not like it's all that taxing on your system, unless of course you're running a 10K in that time in which case you would have won a gold medal0 -
Thanks guys.
and I understand about it not being that taxing on me - I agree. I was considering having one instead of a meal as im not hungry but i think I'll just switch insanity to the morning.
Thanks again!0
