Paleo vs Primal

What is the difference between Paleo and Primal?
I admit I haven't looked into it in huge depth because being strictly vegetarian I don't think it is a lifestyle choice for me, but I would like to know what people here mean when they use these terms. Is there a difference, or do they mean the same thing?

Basically, they are the same. That's what I am starting too. Reading the books are very informative and eye opening. The cook books are pretty good too.0

From what I've found, one allows for dairy, and the other does not.0

As far as I know the difference is that Primal allows for you to include dairy and maybe some grains.0

I follow what you would call "Functional Paleo". Primal Blueprint is probably the best form of this. Mark Sisson's son is a vegetarian.
Paleo is stricter.
Both have the same views on grains/flour/sugar/legumes/commercial PUFA oils), They are gradaully coming together since they are always evolving (as science learns new things). That's why I treat it as a "baseline".
They are both based on real food.
Meat. Ingredients = meat
Blueberries. Ingredients = blueberries
Eggs. Ingredients = eggs
Primal helped me learn what was affecting my body. It helped me learn that I am prediabetic (never been overweight or obese, just very very sick and unhealthy). I don't have to eat constantly (oatmeal is NOT filling. Eggs and bacon are). I get to eat lots of fat (about 65%-70% of my daily calories come from fat). And I stay lean eating mostly fat. BUT N=1!!! What worked for me will not necessarily work for the next person. But that's what Paleo/Primal is all about - finding out what works best for you and learning to "listen" to your body. (Eat real food and you will be amazed at what you "hear")
