So, it happens that my schedule sees the best times to work out very close to meal times. Is it better to eat before or after working out?

In my experience it always seems best to eat after my workouts. If you know when you are going to workout and feel empty try eating a small snack about an hour to 45 minutes before you exercise. That should help you with the energy to get through your workout and just make sure you stay hydrated.0

Eat whenever is best for you. Try to find the correct amount of food pre-workout which makes your perform at the highest level.0

I have to eat after I work out. If I do it before, I just feel bloated and like I do not get as good as a workout. Plus, I am usually not as hungry after a work out.0

I do both. I run when I get home from work at suppertime, so I have a banana or apple about 30-60 minutes before I get home, run, and then have my supper. Same thing on the weekends when I run in the morning instead - I have a bowl of oatmeal, wait 30-60 minutes, run, and then have my AM snack (usually a piece of fruit and some nuts).0

I would do after. If I eat and run, I'll feel sick0

I do both, otherwise I feel sick and don't have enough energy to workout.
Beforehand I eat something like a few hardboiled eggs or a banana.
During I drink water with fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice, and salt.
After I drink a protein shake and eat again in about 30 minutes.0
