I DID IT!! My First 5K

Hey all. A couple of months ago I signed up with a friend to do the Dirty Girl Mud Run. Well Saturday was race day and I did it and it was awesome! It was probably one of the most fun events I have ever participated in. I do have to disclose that I walked the whole way (I have a bad back and the friend I did it with had pneumonia - but she wanted to do it). Although we walked we still did it - went through the obstacles, got really dirty, had a ton of laughs and finished. I cannot wait until next year.     Awesome!!! I've done a few mud runs and they are the best!! About to do Tough Mudder in Austin....hope I still like running after that one!

    That's wonderful, congratulations on completing! I just started doing C25K, and I can't wait until I'm at the point where I can do something like this. Awesome job to both you and your friend!

    WTG! I just did the Kiss Me Dirty mud run two wks ago. Crazy insane fun and yeah, I walked too but shoot I did all the obstacles. This weekend I'm doing the Color Run here in town. :)

    Great job!! Sounds like you had a great time! I have walked a few 5ks but not a mudder. I have a goal to run in the Turkey Trot 5k this Thanksgiving. Working towards that now.

    Outstanding....It doesn't matter how you cross the finish line as long as you cross it and you do it on your own. Congrats!!!

    Ummmmm not quite. Considering I walked the whole thing I will work up to running in one. I have already signed up to do the Dirty Girl next year as well!!
