I was just curious as to how much weight you have to lose to drop a pant size. I know it varies on how tall you are, your body type, etc. I would love to know how much weight you had to loose for a pant size to drop according to your height.

Oh and I'm 5'1" 135 pounds and around a size 5/7
I want to be a size 3 and I'm not sure how much I'd have to drop for that size...

Feel free to post! and feel free to add me I love friends for motivation, I'm new to MFP and could use all the support I can get haha

For me it's about 10lbs. I'm 5'2ish and was a 5/7 at 132lbs and got into a 3 at 123lbs. Your body shape also plays a part in that too.

I am not exactly sure, but I am a size 12 (UK) now and started at a size 18. I have lost 31.5lbs.

I've always heard that rule-of-thumb is 10 pounds per dress/pant size for the NOT obese. At my size, I don't expect to lose a pant size until I've lost at least 25 pounds, if then.

It depends on your body shape, and how many inches you lose, but I'd say just under 10 pounds for me.
