Anyone one else pregnant?

Hi all
I'm new to the forum. I'm pregnant but just trying not to put on too much extra weight as I am already very over weight and worried about how it will effect the baby and me if the pounds pile on.
If I can lose fat mass as I gain baby weight, then that is all good but I have to watch my intake is high enough to feed baby while trying not to gain excess fat.
I have read of some amazing stories where pregnant woman have lost up to 8 stone during pregnancy, safely just but eating healthily. They did start out 20+ stone so they made the health decision to change for life.
I don't have any friends on MyFitnessPal apart from my husband, who I forced to join just to make me feel better. Yes lame since he is perfect weight for his height & no he doesn't login that offen, he does when he remembers.
I don't want to insult anyone and I also want to make clear that I am not doing this without having my Midwife and GP's involvement. They have suggested that I try not to gain any weight through this pregnancy. Hard task, I do love food.
This is the main reason that I love the app on my mobile and I really want to do this but as it isn't actually designed for my situation I'm feel like I'm losing before I begin. Would love to hear from any others that have been or doing or even just want to be online friends to help me stay focused and I of course will I will return the positive words.

I feel your pain. Though I am not currently pregnant, I did give birth only about 6-7 weeks ago. I was a healthy weight for my height but i got lazy and stopped working out about halfway through my pregnancy. I was 110 and now I am a whopping 156. I was 165 at the time of birth so I have already lost some weight. I just got medically cleared for exercise so I am trying to start slow, about 10 minutes every day or at least when I can manage it. When it cools down I'll probably start walking, and taking my son with me, and also attending an exercise class my church does twice a week. I really hope your pregnancy goes well and you keep within your target weight gain.0
