Hey, everyone!
I'm Christina and I'm currently in the process of trying to lose 90 lbs, but mostly looking to lose inches and be super healthy! I've been doing this for 3 1/2 months now and just decided to start participating in the message boards here at MFP! It looked really helpful and fun, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I'm going to be looking for motivation for using healthy eating to be healthier instead of healthy eating + exercise because I'm having surgery in 9 days (gallbladder removal) and can't exercise for 3 weeks post-op, so I came here!
Feel free to introduce yourself and we can motivate each other!
My tumblr/fitblr is christinafitness.tumblr.com if anyone else is on there!

Vancouver Island BC, take care and don't try to be a hero following your op cos it may impede your recovery, Good luck on your journey we'll root for you0

You might wish to look at it as 1 pound to lose 116 times. Might be easier. Good wishes and good luck.0

I'm in Guelph Ontario, a senior with another 30 to lose. I was doing great until I came down with an autoimmune disease- they have put me on Steroids (among other things) so now I'm fighting the weight gain side effect as well..........it's rough going. Any help I can get to stay motivated is appreciated.
I'm Lorrie

I'm from Vancouver Island, though I also lived in Toronto for 5.5 years, up until a year ago. If it helps any, I'm also due for surgery. Waiting on my confirmation letter for exactly when; as far as I know, it's for arthroscopic shoulder surgery, to remove calcium deposits caused by calcific tendinitis. Still training (I love to lift), just having to modify exercises to accommodate the limits in range and weakness when holding certain weights with arms parallel or higher to the joint. Can't wait to get these buggers taken out!
Anyway, more about me is in my profile. If you take a similar approach to fitness (delays due to surgery, aside), feel free to add me.0 -
Hi there! You're friendly.
I"m on day 6, eve of day 7. Really SPLURGED today and don't feel bad for it. On a 1600 calorie plan and enjoyed 2400 calories today. I have been quite disciplined but felt today was a good day to let go.
I'm 45, married 25 yrs with an adult daughter and 17 y/o son with Aspergers Syndrome.
I am finally looking after myself after 10 plus years of putting my kids ahead of myself. I'm using a CPAP machine to breath properly at night and that is my motivation for logging my food and being diligent in getting healthier.
I look forward to hearing about your journey and sharing successes and supporting you throughout the tough times.
