Hi everyone. I just started using myfitnesspal today! As many of you probably have, I've done it ALL. Weight Watchers, counting calories, prescriptions, prescribed eating plans - you name it. What led me here is the fact that I don't want to pay someone else to tell me what I KNOW how to do. At 40 years old, I got a really bad check up at the doctor's office. My blood tests showed that just about everything was higher than average and my blood pressure was too high. The dr said my eating is killing me. I have about 60 pounds to lose and I'm determined to get it off. I had a great first day, and am definitely looking for support out there. Looking forward to this journey and finally making it work

Welcome! I'm new too. I love that MyFitnessPal does all the thinking and the math and always lets me know where I am. It is such freedom to know I still have a certain amount of calories/carbs/fats/proteins to eat. As long as I stay in those limits, I feel thrilled all day. It feels like a map and I'm never lost!

I have just signed up today also and have a good 50 lbs. to loose, my daughter has given me the information to help me. Also to be a healthy person and Mom/grandma etc. I spent a lot of money joining the U weight loss, but did not have the finances to keep paying to stay with it. I have gained about 20 lbs. back and now after a great holiday need to buckle down and loose this weight for myself. I have tried many things to loose this wt. but somewhere loose my willpower to stay on track . Fitness pal is the way to finally watch and track things and actually see it in progress.
