Has anyone tried the iPod Sensor? Is it worth it? How does it work?

I used to use the sensor and it worked well you need to calibrate it to your steps/distance for a mile for correct readings. I now have the App on both the iphone and ipod touch as it uses GPS and is so much easier for the distances.0

So you don't use the sensor anymore? You just use an app?0

I just downloaded the app on my Droid and have used it a few times. It's pretty legit.0

I used the sensor and it worked well with my iPod nano. I stopped using it for 2 reasons, 1) I kept forgetting to shut it off and it ran the battery down and 2) if I stopped and kicked my foot around at all it gave me an inaccurate reading. I've since switched to an app as well that uses my gps coordinates to figure out how far I've walked.0

The sensor tracks your steps/pace and the companion app on iOS translates it into calories expended while using your phone's GPS feature to track your location.0

Yes I stopped using the sensor, def prefer the GPS.0

Thanks everyone I'll just pull down the app then for now0
