Mystery "mandatory meeting" today at work. They've got us all going for 10 minutes at a time, different times of the day!

    I'd be scared. If you are going alone to these "meetings", it sounds like they might be firing some people. But I've never worked in an office, I've just heard stories from my sister and that's what her office did when they fired people. They called everyone in a department in one by one. Some got fired, others didn't.

    10 minutes? that is strange. longer could be an evaluation. if it was good news, they would have everyone together. good luck. let us know what it ended up being. hopefully, it's something small and silly.

    If it is layoffs, I would not be surprised. The economy is still weak for the most part.

    Yeah sounds like layoffs or something to me. I am in management and it is not odd for them to be handled this way. : ( Hope it's good news for you though.
