Hi....I have been a member of my fitness pal for a while. I fell off the wagon with all the lovely holiday goodies and now I am trying to get back on. I have been at it for about 2 weeks or so now and I can not seem to get the correct amount of fat intake that I should be having, I keep going over. I have changed my diet i.e more fruits and veggies and working out more. I have tired looking at different recipes that have lower fat content but I just can't seem to reach that magic number. It would be great if anyone someone had an idea ...whats your secret :)

Well, I'm usually 50 under my fat intake.

I dont eat red meat often, maybe once a week, or once every two weeks.
    Mostly chicken or fish.

    I don't eat a lot of cheese.
I try and not eat a lot of dairy, just stick to my 1% milk in the breakfast.

    Those are my only ideas.

    What do you normally eat?

    Hello and welcome!

I use the crisco butter flavored spray instead of oil for frying food, it has NO calories and NO fat and taste like butter :) It's the only brand I have found that doesn't taste like chemicals..........hope this helps!

    Happy New Year!

Not all fat is created equal. If the fat is coming from healthy sources such as almonds or avocados, then I would not worry about it.

MFP has a pretty low fat % set as a default to begin with. I suppose each person's daily fat goals will vary greatly. I'm usually about 55-70g per day, mostly from yogurt, almonds, avocados, EVOO, various meats, eggs...

As long as it's from a whole food source, I saw fine. I don't allow highly processed oils, deep-fried foods, or sugary-fat combos like donuts, pastries, etc.
