Wow firstly congrats on your weight loss! I am sure that losing the little amount that you do is acheivable by October! I have just under a stone I want to lose by November so fingers crossed we'll get there together!

BTW - the 30DS is a killer!!!! I never got past level one, but that cos I injured myself :s I am now sticking with the gym/running/kettle bells to try try and shift my weight!

What helps me is the realization that there is NO QUICK fix. I didn't get out of shape and put weight on overnight, so expecting to get back in shape and lose weight overnight is just not realistic. I finally accepted that I NEED to get in shape and lose weight and that it was going to take time and commitment. One of my friends keeps telling me she can't do the calorie control and lose a pound or so a week, it's just too slow for her. Meanwhile, she has gained weight over the last year instead of losing. I would much rather lose slowly and get to my goal, rather than stay where I am. Keep moving forward, and don't stay stuck in the same place. If you expect to wake up looking like Jillian Michaels after one week of eating right and working out, then you'll be disappointed.

i am 5'2". 155 pounds. I would like to be 135. How many calories do you think I should be allowing myself?

I NEVER SAID THAT I EXPECTED TO WAKE UP AND BE HOW I WANT!! BUT I DO KNOW IF YOU WORK HARD YOU CAN GET RESULTS QUICKER I LOST 7 STONE IN 7 MONTHS AND IT HAS ONLY BEEN THE LAST FEW MONTHS I HAVE GAINED MY STONE AND A HALF SO I LOST ALOT QUICK AND MAINTAINED IT AT A GOOD PACE SO PEOPLE SHOULDNT SAY THINGS ARE WRONG AS WHAT WORKS FOR SOME MIGHT NOT WORK FOR OTHERS!!

Kirsti, I am so sorry that it seemed like I was accusing you of thinking that. I was simply stating what motivates me and my opinion of why a lot of people fail. I believe that lots of people expect to see results overnight and then give up when they don't see them. I was not pointing a finger at you.
