baby step?

My over all goal is 175-190, right now I'm 249, so I have a long ways to go. People keep asking me how much I've lost and I shurg and say "only 19lbs" and they are so amazed and say how awesome that is. When I think I have about 60-75 lbs still to lose, and I've only lost about 20lbs I don't see it as amazing..HOWEVER I have to think that way, I have to think "YA! I've lost 20 lbs!!!" Because 20 turns into 30, then 40, then 50!!!!!! Just baby steps at first..and over time (fingers crossed), I can get down to the ONEderland!!!!

I had the same breakdown this morning.... We have to set mini-goals for ourselves and realize all big goals take baby steps to get there! Trust me, you are awesome with the twenty pounds being off. I'm not there yet and would be thrilled to be there!0

Oh girl, baby steps is the ONLY way to do this right. My BFF and I have done this together, and we have set mini-goals for things like our next 5 lb mark (a night out bowling with our hubbies) or for sticking to it for 90 days (cut/colors together followed by a night out on the town). We have celebrated each victory, and it keeps inspiring us to go for the next one. An injury has slowed her down, but as soon as she's back at it, we'll set some more mini-goals with their own unique celebrations.
19 lbs is an amazing change. Each day you get up and move or log your meals is a victory when it's so easy to give up. In a world full of such ready excuses to not keep at it, the fact that you have shrunk almost 20 lbs is something to celebrate!0
