Lazy mama needs to get her butt (and belly!) in gear...

So I've been using the site and app for a little over a week now and so far I've noticed if nothing else it at least holds me more accountable.
I know I'm not the perfect dieter (and I really have no intention of being one right now) and sometimes eat bad stuff or go over my calorie count for the day but I also know it's a vast improvement over how I used to eat so I'm content until I get used to this whole calorie counting thing.
I noticed it's especially hard for me since I do not yet know how to cook. Those boxed meals are evil. Add that to my love of fast food, my child-like palate and, well....
I'm getting there though. And soon I'll be a proper role model for my son in both eating habits and exercise habits!
If there are any people out there with tips for me on meals that are super easy (I did join a couple of the groups here for recipes) feel free to leave me some!

Hi,
I am Michelle...and I too want to get in gear and get moving. I am sure you will do it here. I have been holding myself accountable as the best I can, but it is hard w/ the life style I have. I work full time and have three boys that keep me moving. They are all atheletes and I don't want to be the fat momma in the stands!
so hello and I think you should be very proud of hte fact that you have lost 6 lbs on your journey ..that is FANTASTIC!
Be proud of that!

Hehe, thanks, Michelle!
I sympathize with not wanting to be the fat momma completely! Good luck on your journey as well!
And as for the lost 6 lbs, it's really only 5 and since my weight fluctuates 3 or 4 lbs I'm not even sure how accurate that is. BUT, it certainly is nice to see a big number of lost weight. If nothing else it makes me want to validate it and make sure it keeps going up!!0 -
It is a nice number. I am hoping to post somethign big this week. but doubt it..last week I was so excited I was down 3 lbs. THEN the weekend hit and I gained 10 lbs, I am not kidding..10 lbs from Friday morning to Monday morning. Granted I did little to no exercise but really that is not physically possible! Well apparently it is.. anyhow...back on track this week and trying again. to see if I can post a difference form lat week's weigh in.0
