HELP!
So yes, I admit I have slacked ALL SUMMER LONG. I've known about this trip since May and I kept saying "I'll start working out and dieting tomorrow." Well tomorrow is almost gone and now I'm panicking so I need advice.
How can I tighten up before we go? I'm not looking to lose an insane amount of weight or anything but I want to know what the best route to take would be so I look my best in 37 days? What is the best and most effective workout for a 30 day goal? Are there any supplements I can take that are safe and would aid me in this?
And PLEASE! - No criticism! I'm not looking for any negative/know-it-all responses....Just supportive advice.
Thanks!

The best thing you can do is
1) forget about 37 days or any other timeline for that matter
2) set a 500-750 /day calorie deficit and stick to it - no more, no less (within +- 50-100 calories)
3) start working out 3-4 times a week with both cardio and strength.
Just do those things until you meet your health/visual goals.
Not being negative, but there isn't a whole lot you can do in a month that is going to make a difference visually. Better to just go after the long term goals and realize that you are what you are right now.0 -
How about Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred or Ripped in 30. I've heard and seen great results0

I'm sure both of those programs are great, but if you get down to it, they are just diet and exercise.
My problem with "programs" like these is that they have a timeline associated with them. This almost implies that it is over after 30 days or that it is so drastic that it is unsustainable for more than 30 days. I don't think that is the intent of Jillian Michaels, but it is a perception thing for me. If you have 5-10 lbs to lose, these types of things are great "tune-ups", but if you need to make a lifestyle change, then you just need to change your life - not just the next 30 days.0 -
Thank you both for your replies. It most definitely needs to be a lifestyle change! I have a few Jillian Michaels DVDs. I guess I'll be dusting them off tonight!0
