Will an Elliptical help tone or is it just for cardio. Thinking about getting one, but want to tone up to. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The elliptical machine is mainly a cardiovascular workout but it does provide some amount of strengthening of the legs depending on the amount of resistance you select. Peddling backwards really works your quads but it's not the same thing as lifting weights or doing strength building exercises.
For great tone I recommend the Les Paul but of course some people prefer the Fender.

Wish I could help nana but I don't have, or have checked in to one myself.0

It should eventually help tone you all over, but like anything, it's not going to work on its on.
You'll still need to do strength training.
It's a GREAT workout though. You can burn 500 calories in just 45 minutes.0 -
It also is very easy on the joints! I LOVE the elliptical for this reason alone, as I have one bad knee. But I agree, some strength training needs to be done as well. Currently I do heavy weights for my upper body and then lighter weights and more reps for my lower half simply because I am working my legs on the elliptical at a high resistance nearly every day. So, as poster above states, it depends on the resistance that you set it to whether you are toning or not.0
