Netflix seems to have removed all of their workouts from the streaming menu.

This is tempting me to drop netflix and look into hulu. Although I think I'd have to rearrange my whole living room to do that.

As of August 1, they did. It sucks too because I only just discovered that they had those. The only one they have left is a yoga video for children and teens. :( Bresnan (or Optimum now, I guess) used to have a work outs on their free OnDemand menu, but they dropped them as well. It was nice having the variety; I wonder why they don't offer them anymore.

Does anyone else know of a place that you can stream videos? I was given to understand there was an Exercise TV channel, but what was listed when I first signed up for cable turned out to be financial or something else lame that did not include an exercise and wasn't geared toward health and fitness at all!

Has anyone else tried Hulu? I have Hulu plus but it still had commercials. Normally I wouldn't care, but during a workout or yoga, it's frustrating to sit through 3 commercials back to back...especially when the one on repeat is for a cheesecake.

Argh that is frustrating! If Hulu has em, I'll give them a try. I still miss exercise tv. :(

I think we're going to start seeing a lot of "push-back" from Big Media against Netflix. Netflix streaming is like a Ninja who came in and unlocked the door to the safe. We've been given ridiculously inexpensive access to enough things via Netflix streaming that we don't really need cable for entertainment.

$9.99 vs $65 for basic cable? Not even in the same league.

Those in the huge entertainment industry would be wise to band together and severely limit the availability of streaming video. You know, in the name of profit. I'm sure they have the deep pockets to do so, and Netflix is going to have to take their booty and re-think their plan.

Ooof I didn't realize that Hulu had commercials :(

For gingerjen7 - A lot of cable companies dropped Exercise TV on Jan 1 2012. Some still have it but not mine (Cox)

It seems like there could be a hole in the video streaming industry here?

I hear that. I DVRed some yoga shows (Power Yoga: Mind and Body) and the instructor likes to get you into a position and then say, "Hold here and relax during the commercials" or some crap like that. I fast forward through the commercials, but then I have to pause to hold the pose for a while. That just seems so silly to me. Can't they just do the whole routine and then do all the commercials at the end? In this day and age, most people don't watch them anyway!
  • I had just found The Crunch workouts on Netflix and was loving them. BOOOOO.
