weigh and measure pre or post cook

So since really looking and tracking food is new to me, in a positive way, do you weight and measure your food before or after you cook it. For example, a boneless pork chop. Do you say it is 5 oz cause that is its raw weight or is it 4 ox cause that is its cooked weight? Same with veggies such as spinach. In the end does it make that much difference??

for meats, i look for a 'raw' entry in the database and just use that. so if i'm making a 1/4 pound burger, i'll add 4oz. raw ground beef to my diary.
for veg, i just use measuring cups and almost always eat them raw. pasta, etc. i will go by the serving size on the box and i generally weigh items like that in grams because it's more accurate than eyeballing.
hope that helps0 -
I do it before. You can fit a lot more cooked veggies in a cup then you can when they are raw. I hate "oops calories"!0
