dont know whats quite going on here or if this is all in my head, but it seems like ever since i started changing my diet by watching calories, exercising and whatever, the fat on my body feels mushy? like my butt and thighs feel softer? i mean the fat is still there but its not as "solid" feeling i guess. i feel softer. like before when i would press my butt (lol) i jus felt fat but now when i press my butt i can feel my butt bone. what made me notice this was today as i was sitting down, i was feeling my butt bone; hadn't felt that since i was skinny. i've only lost about 3lbs so i dont think it could be a loss of fat. i guess the best way to describe it is the fat no longer feels as dense. this is also on my thigs and my face feels funny too. does anyone know what i'm talking about or is this all in my head? lol

    not in your head

saw the question before, and when you change your diet, your body is letting go of the fat, and the fat cells aren't as 'full', so you lose some firmness.

Think of a deflated party balloon, all wrinkly and saggy. That's why you don't want to drastically lose weight, or you get really saggy skin. Lose the weight slowly, and the skin has time to catch up.

I'll try to find the article...

I thought this too when I first started losing weight! Glad to hear I'm not crazy. It wasn't so much what I could feel but what I actually saw. I had lost a few pounds and I complained to my friend that my stomach actually looked softer and flabbier than ever. She thought I was crazy. I knew my eyes weren't playing tricks on me! Luckily that went away eventually :)

lol funny u should say this because i noticed it in my stomach too. i was poking myself like the Pillsbury dough boy and i'm thinking to myself what the heck is going on here!

this article is dead on and even used the word i was trying to think of earlier to describe how my fat feels now ... "squishy". now i understand whats going on.
