I bought clothes in Singapore!

As an American woman in Singapore, there is not one item of clothing on this whole island that fits me. If you've ever seen Asian women, well, they are size 2. Until they balloon up after having babies, then they wear size 4. And around 50 after completely letting themselves go for decades, they leap up to a size 6.

For years i have had to strategize clothes shopping with my visits to the US. On the last trip home, everything i bought was 1 - 2 sizes smaller. Marks and Spencer here in Singapore carries a few items in larger sizes and i was thinking it might be time to give it a go. So i was out and about with my IF (Inspirational Friend - who really started me on this journey) today and she asked if i'd have a wander through M&S with her.

I tried several things on and . . . . WOW . . . some things fit. I ended up buying a pair of shorts and a top and suddenly the world has changed for me! After 4 years here, i bought clothes that fit me in Singapore!! In a regular shop!

I'm still in plus sizes, but i can actually buy clothes here!! I have been caught somewhere between hysterical and joyous laughter and completely breaking down sobbing. Just another day on the journey . . .
