Sodium question for the clean eaters out there?

For all those that eat clean or relatively clean. How do you get you sodium in?
today mine was at around 300 from the MFP guide of 2500. I usually average around 900.
this afternoon I have had quite a throbbing headache. I put this down to the fact that it is hot here today and the low sodium I have had.
so, I`ve had a couple of pain killers and resorted to having 2 slices of processed cheese which added an extra 400 sodium and some salted peanuts and sprinkled some lo-salt on them to get more in.
Do you add extra sodium to your clean foods or do you take salt tablets? How does it work for you?

The body only requires 500 mg of sodium a day.
Edit- the guideline on MFP is the MAXIMUM you should have. Not what you should be meeting, really though. The American Heart Association recommends no more then 1500 a day.0 -
I've been having a problem with dehydration and having MORE sodium has been the key to keeping water in my cells. I use soy sauce, mustard and chicken broth to bring my numbers up. It has helped some. I've had to up my potassium as well, and celery, cabbage, avocado are helpful here. Probably if I ate dairy I could get more potassium0

It's so easy to get sodium in the diet that I never worry about the lack of it. However, if you feel you might not be getting enough keep some natural sea salt on hand and put a little bit on your food or in your water. I eat a hard-boiled egg every day and put a little salt on that (yum!).0
