I am new on the site, I'm petite (5'3) with only about 10 lbs to lose, which isn't much...however I have no motivation. I really need friends who are going to encourage me to avoid that cream-cheese smothered bagel and go running with my dogs or go to the gym whose membership is not cheap!!! Please add me please!!:flowerforyou:

if you find that person to give you that kick in the butt, send them my way too! i am 5ft 2 and it's taken me 9.5 months to lose 16-18 lbs, it's been a struggle and it's been slow but i am getting there... i still have 4 lbs to my goal of 120 and i am not sure if i should go beyond that or not? my dr suggested me o go to 122 max 120 but my body fat % is still a bit high and i need to lose more bf.....not sure where to go from here...
  • I haven't been on here for TOO long, and I have more weight to lose than you do(: BUT! I'd say I saw results REALLLY fast, but just not drinking anything but water. I didn't like water in the beginning, but I would drink it with meals. Mainly because you aren't really focusing on what you are DRINKING, its more about the MEAL.. you know? I have those bottles that meausre how many ounces are in them and set a goal for myself. If you are a big soda, sweetened tea or anything else-drinker, drinking water is a VERY good step that will cut out a good portion of calories. I think that you can still eat what you want, just do it in moderation. Be smart about what you are eating. If you know you are eating something bad, eat LESS of it in one sitting. Don't go crazy and cut out a bunch of stuff you LOVE, and force yourself to do exercises that you cannot stand. It wont last. Takes walks with your dogs. One of the really popular programs on here is Couch to 5k. Try walking/running, see if you like that. If you don't, don't force yourself to do it. There are tons of recipies on this sight, not to mention exercise tips and ideas on the message boards.
