i think it's true. my fiance and i have had an extremely stressful 4 years and he really likes the 30+ lbs i put on. he says i will look too skinny at the weight he met me at, though he had no complaints about me at the time.

Makes sense. The article ends up kind of offensive though.

I guess all those guys on Match.com looking for thin, athletic women must be retired or independently wealthy.

When I lost my weight after my pregnancy in 1996 my then boyfriend (now ex husband lol) thought I was too skinny. A lot of guys think I'm too thin but when I have "meat on my bones" I don't get the "curves" (I was small up top even when I was 200lbs lol) but lucky for me, THIS is how I love myself and I'm 136 and 5'7" and the only opinion that matters is my OWN! If heavy is their thing, they're not for me then.

'Any port in a storm.' :noway: :

if one is homeless, we might accept lodging that others would view as inferior." :explode:

:drinker: if body shape preferences are flexible, thinness may not be the ideal body type that we think it is.

The doesn't really say anything about long-term stress, either.

There you go! New search criteria for landing a sugar daddy. Look for the ones that want skinny girls.

I swear my husband and I had this same conversation this morning!

He feels like my counting calories and being on MFP is extremely selfish. I asked him if he'd prefer for me to not care at all and gain my weight back. He started fumbling with his words.

I think when families are going through a tough time financially, eating healthy and buying supplements go on the back burner. Its hard for me, women expecially, to go into "survival mode" while working so hard to get to a goal weight.
