Suggestions for a very light early morning snack?

I wonder if anyone can help please? Pretty much the best time of day for me to exercise if first thing. I get up at 5am and am jogging on the treadmill by 5.10am. I don't have anything to ear prior to this. Not that I can't face it, I could eat breakfast as soon as I wake up, I just don't want something laying in my stomach when I am jogging.

Sometimes I feel quite light headed after my jog (only do about 2 miles, just starting out). So wondered if it could be doing it on an empty stomach.

Is there anything that you could suggest that would give me a bit of calaries and a bit of energy but where I could jog straight away after?

and if I don't have anything, am I doing myself any harm?

I usually eat half a banana before my morning runs. That's enough to give me some sugar but does not lay heavy in my stomach.

I sometimes run without eating something before and notice that I get tired more easily and cannot perform as well as when I had a light snack before.

I jog on an empty stomach in the mornings too. I don't feel lightheaded but I also tend to eat dinner around 7:30 or 8 so I think I am not hungry because of this. Maybe try a little protein before bed or perhaps some light carbs first thing in the morning? Would a banana work maybe? I love bananas with breakfast :)

Sounds like small banana might be a good option then, little carb... little sugar but not heavy. Thank you!
