I make a smoothie each morning. This morning I experimented and the results were so delicious that I had to share. It's a take on a ginger lemonade, but for a punch of health I added a handful of kale and used frozen pineapple to sweeten (adds fiber and avoids refined or fake sugars). You can drink the ENTIRE blender for only around 170 cals Here's the recipe:

In a blender (I used my Vitamix) add the following:

- 1 heaping handful of washed kale
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Approx 1 tbsp worth of peeled ginger root
- 1 cup frozen pineapple (more or less depending on sweetness)
- Enough water to thin the mixture to a juice form (as much or as little as desired - I added quite a bit).

Blend until completely smooth and the kale is completely incorporated into the juice. Enjoy!!!

Kale is a green (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kale). Most grocery stores carry it, and you can buy it chopped in bags as well. It's got a lot of calcium and other nutrients.
