ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINERS

Has anyone used an online personal trainer, a friend of mine has been using one with great results. SInce i'm not sure what exercises to be doing and what food to be eating to get the best results for my body type, I was just curious, maybe this is something I should consider. Any suggestions or experiences to be shared would be great!

Thanks !

Posting just so I can see what people have to say on the topic. I have no personal experience with it, though. I'm curious!

My step-daughter uses one and it works very well for her. She was always in great shape, but now she is in perfect condition.

Pay me and Ill tell you what to do.... I feel like you can get the same information from just researching workouts and nutrition yourself.

Personally, I am super cheap and always looking for ways to save extra money. I feel like there isn't much that an online personal trainer would do that you couldn't look up yourself on the internet. I would say that if you are going to spend the money for one, I'd rather have one in person. They can watch your form and all that jazz that I assume an online trainer couldn't do.

I have done lots of research and applying what i've read in the correct routine/ meal plan, doesn't seem to be working for me, and I feel like I could use my time more wisely with someone who has experience with weights/cardio/what to eat. and actually SEE results, instead of busting my butt without the results. I have the basic knowledge but I need professional knowledge now and I don't mind paying for it if I could finally see my body start to change.
My friend who i have known for years, and has done soo much research in her struggle to change her body, finally has very noticable results. So maybe this is the answer for those who need some help.

If you have time to do the research, there are thousands of articles and helpful pieces of information. I did this in the beginning and went on info overload. I also found MANY conflicting statements about nutrition and fitness, so sorting those out took some work, but I eventually figured it out. (Too much info made it complicated....and it's really not.)
But........if you don't have time and just want a no-nonsense plan, Bodybuilding.com has some great ones, and they're free.

Why pay for FREE info? Many sites do it for free. And an online personal trainer can't correct bad form when someone is doing an exercise wrong.

IMO if your going to pay for a training it should be in person so they can make sure your doing everything with proper form and lets face it if they are there in person they will push you more. I am sorry the internet trainer cannot push you the same way. I am planning on using a trainer once I reach my goal weight I am going to see if a trainer can then help me reach my body fat goal. I am currently lifting weights but today I use all "machines" when I reach my goal weight I am going to move back to free weights and would like the trainer input on form.
