Starting my post WW diet and looking to connect with others

Hi I am 56 yo 5' 10" 187 lbs and active. Started weight-watchers about 20 months ago and lost over 30 lbs. As with most diets WW stopped working at some point (I began gaming the plan and tired from the repetition). I joined MFP yesterday and interested in meeting new people.

I exercise a lot and looking for people nearby with a similar interest. I run, bike, do cross-training, belong to 24 hour fitness (sometimes take their body pump class) and interested in starting to do some mtn biking. Oh yes, I also started hiking up to Mission Peak in Fremont CA once a week.

Best wishes to all.

Hey there Cole! I am at what sounds like the same place as you....I have been on WW for about 27 months and have lost 35 lbs. I'm trying to lose another 35 and thought this might be the place to be. I workout quite a bit as well....for sure more than what seems to be the norm on WW. So I joined MFP after the NP at work suggested it when i took a resting metabolic rate test. Loved that test!! it told me how many calories I should be eating to lose weight based on my metabolism. Good luck on your journey! And wow....so very impressed with your workouts! AWESOME!! I have done some hiking as well...although here in Denver it's just been way too hot to be out there. so lately i have been doing the P90X lean program. just started so nothing big happenin yet but I sure feel stronger. LOVE THAT!!! Here is to getting healthier!!

I am saving $22 per month by getting rid of WW online. Their program, past or present, has never been a good fit for me (I need far more protein and fat without getting penalized for it) and fruits "count" for me because of the fructose. Points were useless and what I really want to know are my macronutrients. One can modify the goals on MFP and the food database is WAY better. Love MFP!
