New and looking for friends

I'm new to MFP. I feel really optimistic about it, because I am committed to losing weight the old-fashioned, healthy way-- counting calories and exercise. I'm a 5'8" female student, and I'm at 250 right now. I'm looking to get down to about 140. If there's anyone else out there with a 100-lb or so goal, I'd could use (and give!) a little motivation. :)

    Hi and welcome! I'm trying to lose about 30 lbs right now but go ahead and add me if you want. At one time I was at the 100 or so pound goal mark so I can definitely relate to where you're at!
