Healthy Clean Snack Ideas
Hey there, football season is right around the corner and I'm looking for healthy snack ideas! I've been trying to follow a eat-clean lifestyle, and have found some good options, but just wondering if anyone has any favorite recipes/ideas they would like to share!

As a huge hockey and football lover I feel your pain. Thats atleast 4 games a week I have to get through with either my boyfriend or mom (depending on where I watch) plowing chips next to me.

Cucumbers as "chips" are great with lots of things. I seem to be able to find good healthy dips, but for a while I struggled with what to use as the "chip" until I thought of sliced cucumber.0

baby carrots and light ranch for dipping...a healthy crunchy snack that taste good!0

All sorts of raw vegetables WITHOUT dip
No, really. You can eat them without ranch.
Yes, I'm serious.0 -
Farro
(It's what the Roman army ate - so it must be manly)
Mixed cooked Farro with fresh basil, diced tomatoes, garlic and feta0 -
With or without dip.. your choice.. I measure out a 1/2 tbsp of light ranch for my carrots.. dip optional of course!0

I saw on Dr. Oz today, they put yogurt into a ziploc bag, cut the corner off and squeezed little nickel size drops onto a cookie sheet, freeze it for two hours, and they are little bite size treats0

Salt and vinegar chick peas. My favourite!!!! Sometimes I don't even bother roasting them because they are yum either way.

I do greek yogurt smoothies all the time

Lately I've been experimenting with mixing spices into greek yogurt and making my own dips for veggies..

Thank You for the website suggestions! Yes, between football, hockey, basketball, you name it, my fiance can just sit there and put away all sorts of snacks and of course, he doesn't gain a pound! lol Luckily, he will always try whatever healthy snack I attempt to make for myself!0 -

I saw that too! I usually keep some containers of greek yogurt or the yoplait whips in the freezer, but that was a really cool idea!0 -

That's one thing I have not tried, but I will definitely experiment with greek yogurt instead of sour cream for dips! Thanks!0 -

It's a whole grain, similar to wheat berry - it's most likely near the rice (or rice mixes) and couscous in your grocery. Really easy to cook - boil it for 15 minutes. It has a nice firm chewiness, not mushy or soft.0 -
Anything dipped with Tzatziki Greek yogurt. I like panko breaded Zucchini in Olive oil. Really any veggies with Tzatziki Greek yogurt.
For something like a chip try Quakers Rice cake - caramel corn flavor.
Bump this to save for later to get more snack ideas!

Thank you! I will look for this next time I grocery shop! I just started incorporating quinoa into my diet and this sounds like another good option!0 -
