Morning

Hi All.

I'm new to this thing, been logging exercise for a week and nutrition. Finding it interesting (and challenging) so far.

Aim to lose the extra fat I carry around and tone up.

Looking for some people to motivate, give ideas and generally chat to whilst they go through the same thing.

I also have an BSc in Sport and Exercise Science and MSc in Sport and Exercise Physiology, so any technical questions, I am happy to help :)

Good Luck with all in your challenges too.

Andie :) x

  • Hi Andie,
I have been on here for a about a month and lost 7lb. I have some great friends on here and theye are very inspirational. I am messing about with attempting a big challenge next year so your technical support would be good - I tend to be a good supporter of the general day to day stuff,
    Regards,
    Shaun

Hi Andie , welcome to MFP. This is is a great spot to help you track how you are doing with exercise, weight and general eating, I have been on here for about year but did not keep up with it for the last 8 months and gained much of the wight I lost back. For the last two weeks i have been staying on here and lost about 15lbs.

If you are are looking for a friend on here, feel free to add me.

    Good luck an take care.

    Hi Andie and Shaun. :)

I'm new to this as well, this being my first day and all. However, I am not new to weight struggles and exercise. I joined looking for people who have similar goals to help keep me motivated and perhaps give insight/suggestions. Hopefully I can do the same for anyone who wants my advice and support. I've lost 80 lbs so far, without dieting. I love food too much to give things up.

Morning hope you all have a great weekend :)
  • Hey Guys,

Nice to meet you all and read your comments as well. My name's Jake, and I'm pretty new to MFP. I had it once before but it wasn't time for me to make life changing adjustments I guess. However, that time has come and I have big goals of losing 100 lbs by Valentines Day of next year. I have been "dieting" based on the MFP numbers this week and weighed myself yesterday, having lost 2 lbs so far. I'm going to continue to weigh myself on a weekly basis, focusing on getting my cardio in twice daily 6 days/a week & I lift weights about 4 days a week. I'd love to meet and be friends with anyone who has struggles and is motivated to make a change in their lives. Best of luck to you all and hopefully we'll see eachother on the other side as success stories next year!

It's been over the course of two years. I used to be extremely inactive. As soon as I began walking I started losing weight. I walk everywhere now. I walk to the gym, work, and even to go grocery shopping. I don't go out to eat as much as I used to, but I don't really watch what I eat. I do want to start focusing on that more though. I think I would lose more weight if I made better choices, foodwise. Honestly, for a few months now I've been fluctuating between 176 and 185. I can't seem to break 175.

    Good morning everyone,

It's nice to meet you all.

I'm on Day 4 of MFP and love it already! Have tried quite a few diets in the past, but haven't managed to lose more than 1.5 stone before slipping back into bad habits. Since moving in with The Boyfriend last year have been falling more quickly down the slippery slope, so am determined to nip it in the bud this time once and for all! Have always tried tackling the extra pounds alone before, but hoping the online support will help this time, so please feel free to add me as a friend :)

    Have a great Saturday,

    Charlotte.
