Only 17! Probably because I am somehow, suddenly, old, and most of them weren't around when I was a young adult. I'll have to check some of them out.

Don't know if this would qualify as young adult, but Laurie R. King's The Beekeeper's Apprentice and others in that series are really good, easy reading novels with a young protagonist.

Catcher in the Rye, and actually every other Salinger novel/short story, had a huge influence on me. Just wanted to give a shout out for old J.D. since he was dissed earlier.

Harry Potter Series (as an adult)

    As a kid:
    To Kill a Mockingbird
    The Hobbit
    Catcher in the Rye
    Lord of the Rings
    The Outsiders
    Anne of Green Gables Series
    Lord of the Flies
    Flowers for Algernon
    Call of the Wild
    Treasure Island

Some of those I never heard of , and some where not even books when I was a kid (lol tells ya I am ancient)

    I've read 23.

A lot of these came out well after my teen years, haha.

I'm very disappointed to see "Twilight" on there and no "Chronicles of Narnia". But happy they included "The Last Unicorn."

    :(

Emily of New Moon. A more realistic and less romanticized series than Anne of Green Gables.

I have no idea about most of the books on that list except for very mainstream stuff like Harry Potter or Twilight which I doubt I will ever have time. Still I think it's a very weird list to cite teen flicks among some of the sci-fi/dystopia masterpieces.

    To Kill A Mockingbird
    The Hobbit
    The Catcher In The Rye
    The Lord Of The Rings
    Fahrenheit 451
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy Series
    Lord Of The Flies
    Flowers For Algernon
    The Call Of The Wild
    Howl's Moving Castle
    Dune
    Discworld
    Earthsea Series
    Treasure Island
    Something Wicked This Way Comes

Yeah anyone who thinks you're old because you haven't heard of a lot of these....a surprising amount have come out in the past 5 to 7 years....probably 30 of them at least! I read most as an adult. Only the books I had to read for school, the classics, we're read as a teen.

Only twenty; primarily because a lot of them are recent publications. I read anything I can get my paws on; YA or not.
