Raw apple cider vinegar

I have heard that an ounce a day of raw apple cider vinegar is a great way to flush your system of toxins and to help keep your body from storing the fat you take in while eating. I have yet to find a way to do this without becoming nauseous from the vinegar. I tried just holding my nose, taking a shot, then drinking about a quart of water, and promptly threw up. I tried adding it to a smoothie or protein shake, and couldn't force myself to drink more than a couple sips.

I would like to give this vinegar a try, but my body seems to have a different idea. Does anyone know of a way to do it without being overpowered by the smell and taste?

It's tough but here's how I do it: one tablespoon in about 4 oz of ice water, hold my nose and chug. For the first few months that I did this, before unplugging my nose, I would put something salty in my mouth like goldfish crackers and start chewing.

Now I still plug my nose while drinking but am able to follow with a chaser of plain water only.

It really does help with water weight.

I've done that in the past, although I don't think it did much. I mixed it with ice, a few squirts of lemon juice, about 2-3 oz of cranberry juice and then filled the glass with water. It wasn't too bad.
