I know I should be eating more calories because I'm breastfeeding, but does anybody know about how many more I should be eating? I want to be successful in breastfeeding and in losing this baby fat!

    guidelines say between 300 and 500 extra calories/day. And a multivitamin. :)

If you're exclusively breastfeeding, it's 500 calories a day. If you've started solids or you're supplementing with formula, go for 300 a day. Good luck!

Awesome. I started with my newborn at 500 cals a day extra. When he started eating less, I went down another 100, and so on. Now that he is almost weaned, I don't count those at all.
  • I am EBF and he's only 8 weeks old so he's eating a lot. I've been drinking about 3 liters of water a day but was unsure how much to actually eat! Thanks everybody for your advice!!!
