Horrible arms.

So here I am young and fat. I'm losing weight, well trying to...I have 260 unhealthy pounds in my body and stretch marks all over me.I can cover them up...BUT, I also have stretch marks on my arms from shoulders to elbow...
Guys can you please help me?I want a wedding dress but how can I even dare to dream about beautiful dress with those awful stretch marks on my arms.

I use bio-oil which is specialy formulated to help fade scars and stretch marks (go to your local beauty/chemist) you will never get rid of stretch marks but it will make them much less noticeable. Use it regularly it will really help.

How often do you need to apply it?

that is great advice..and how about using mederma...that body and face make-up that covers all imperfections.

Bio oil is brilliant, but stretch marks do tend to fade on their own over time.

Plus their are loads of beautiful wedding dresses with sheer or lace boleros which cover up arms/shoulders but still look elegant and beautiful!

As often as you want I use it morning and night, it's also great on wrinkles lol;-)
  • I got mederma and will try bio oil, thank you.

I don't want body make-up because I will sweat it off and/or it will rub on dress.

    Aw hon I feel ya!
I too have stretch marks from armpit to ankle, mainly from steroid use and very severe and sudden weight gain associated with their use. This all happened after I got married.
Im young too and trust me they do fade away to a pale scar like colour. Bio-oil is great, I used to apply twice a day but Ive recently slipped - must try to start it again.
Dont lose hope of that dream dress, once theyve faded, and they do, theyre only noticable close up.
    hugs to you x
  • kittyr77,

thanks so much for support.I lost all hope, I have most of the marks for over 2 years, and they barely faded...:(

I was worried about this too when I got married. Just so happens that I found the most beautiful long sleeved dress with lace inserts on the arms. I got married in the fall, so a long sleeved dress was ok. I loved my dress and felt so beautiful in it. You will find the perfect dress for you, too. You may not decide to do long sleeves, but that's ok. I know you will find a wonderful dress and be so beautiful on your special day.
