OK this is my 3rd week really trying. the first week I lost 4 lbs (which was expected). The 2nd week I lost 0...yep 0 lbs. Logged everything in faithfully, staying under my calorie goal, and exercised too. We ate out Friday night and I was in the house all day Saturday...alone...so I cheated, alot. Yesterday, I cooked a pot roast, but did not eat rice and gravy, just ate roast and vegetables. And, I haven't exercised since Wednesday. I got on the scales this morning and lost 2.5 lbs over the weekend (I had weighed Friday, so I know I was the same weight for two weeks) What the heck??

I find this happens all the time. I gain like 2lb in a week exercising, then eat some crap and dont exercise a few days and it comes off. The weight loss is probably still whats "left over" from that healthy week when you didnt lose anything. I often find my weight loss catches up with me, weird I know, but try to get back to healthy eating as the cheating will catch up with you too!0

You may not be eating enough...I find that the 1200 that MFP sets for everyone is way too low for me. I normally eat around 1700 calories to lose weight.0

Lots of reason.
What time did you weigh yourself you can weigh as much as 3 to 5 pounds heavier in the evening than the morning.
If you have eaten food hi in salt it will cause your body to retain water, the same can be caused by drinking to much alcohol.
Your TOM can cause water retention.
The list can just go on and on and on.......0 -
You are weighing yourself too often imo.
Your weight will fluctuate alot. So many factors go into it every day such as water weight and how big of a poop you just took.
Try to weigh yourself once a week, hopefully early in the morning after you go to the bathroom and try to make it consistently same day/time to get best readings.
Dont worry about that scale so much....look in the mirror and see how you are doing. Also if you are just starting out (you said it was your 3rd week), your body is confused...it is trying to figure out a new homeostasis and it will make the scale bounce...once you find a rhythem to your eating and workouts...your body will find balance and start being more predictable with weight loss0 -
I've had it happen to me. Sometimes it just helps to shake things up now and then. Plus you didn't lose the week before so it's all a cumulative thing - no loss one week, extra the next.... Bodies are weird.0

they have me at 1430 and I don't have a hard time sticking to it, especially the days when I exercise I have to replace the calories I burned with food. I weigh 275 lbs now but I have never been a big eater, just what I was eating, and not exercising, and having a thyroid issue was driving my metabolism down. Even before I dieted, I would bring half my meal home from the restaurant because I was full. I decided to cut out the rice, bread and pasta out of my diet and that has saved me a load of calories.0
