Healthy Meal?

I've realised since coming on here, many of the food items I thought were healthy are not, so

I've just made:

- Sweet potato wedges
- Grilled chicken breast
- Olives
- Pesto

I hugely need to reduce the amount of salt and oil used in my cooking, and could have certainly cut down my portion size, but as a dinner meal, would that generally be considered healthy?

There's nothing about the components of that meal that make it seem unhealthy to me, if that's what you're asking.
  • If they are home made sweet potato wedges, I can see that as perfectly fine/not unhealthy. But if you bought them as bagged/frozen/premade... they are probably high in sodium and other preservatives that aren't especially that great for you.

    Cheers guys :)
Just looking to step in the right direction :)

They were home made wedges. As mentioned, in a bit too much oil, with a bit too much salt, but home made non the less. I'm not looking for huge weight differences, just to make a bit of a lifestyle change, so will try cutting down on the oil and the salt to a point where I haven't compromised the taste too much :)

Olives usually have a lot of sodium and pesto is just gross - but yep looks pretty healthy to me. I love sweet potatoes!
