My co-worker described a women on tv (she's kinda cute) as such...and that got me to thinking...what does this term mean? Is this some kind of back handed compliment?

    It means she's kind of cute. Not ugly, not hot..just kind of cute.

    "You'd be hot if you lost weight" is a back handed compliment.


    People need to stop reading so much into what people say, their lives would be a lot simpler.

    Cute is a compliment. "Kinda cute" is less of a compliment. But cute is good. I get cute way too much LOL (in a good way). It's more a "young" look.

    Cute is a compliment. "Kinda cute" is less of a compliment. But cute is good. I get cute way too much LOL (in a good way). It's more a "young" look.

    To make a compliment about another woman to, or in front of my wife is suicide. But to say "kind of" cute might allow me to live to see the next day. It's like walking gently on thin ice. You definitely don't stomp.

    It means shes very good looking, but he really doesn't want you to know he thinks that so he's only saying shes kinda cute. This is because he secretly is in love with you and wants you to think you are the only one he has eyes for.

    LOL so if my husband says 'kinda cute' that really means something way better than kinda? OOOOoo He is in trouble tonight! (Just kidding, you didn't actually get my husband in trouble :P)
