I've been using MFP since June and had great success for the first month. But I've been stalled the last 4 weeks. I have been eating back all my fitness calories burned, eat very clean, and work out 3 days per week- both cardio and weight training. No matter how much or little I eat, I don't budge. Not even one tenth of one pound! I use the same scale at the gym and even the clothes I weigh in with are the same.

Help!!! What tricks have you used to power through a plateau? I am looking for anything to jump start my weight loss, I'm getting frustrated but refuse to give up. Thanks in advance!

With 30 ish pounds left to lose, your goals should be set at "lose 1/2 pound per week" - or at the maximum, "lose one pound per week". If you have it set at Lose 2, and Sedentary, you are shorting yourself lots of calories, regardless of what you think.

Are you weighing all your foods with a food scale, and measuring every liquid you drink?

Have you tried zigzagging calories? OR alternating the days you eat your cals burned back? Without knowing what you are eating and how much plus not knowing your exercises and typical cals burned its hard to pinpoint the problem.

I will say since you are weight training a large part of your progress in the beginning will be lowering of bodyfat rather than numbers on the scale. Start taking measurements and having your body fat percentage checked...if the scales not budging its likely positive changes are happening elsewhere.

Re: weighing foods, I don't currently but so much of what I eat is green veggies supplemented by either dry cottage cheese, fat free ricotta, lot's of chicken breasts and fish and avocado for good fats . I will have to see if that helps. I typically over estimate calories eaten, which my hubby shakes his head at. I am currently taking in a net of 1300-1400 cals after fitness cals. As far as liquids, I literally only have coffee creamer, water, and drink single malt scotch neat so low calories there.
Maybe it's in the sodium or too low of caloric intake....

I would love to get your opinion on my food log. If I publish it would you take a look? Obviously you've had some success and I'd love to get your perspective. You look gorg, btw!
