Question about carbs

Lately I've been going 10-40 over my carb limit. Will going 10-40 carbs over my limit do any significant damage to my weight loss? Everything else is staying below the limit, but I can't seem to count my carbs as well.

Assuming your limits are set in a reasonable spot, then it won't make a HUGE difference but continually going over COULD make a small difference.

By looking at your diary, you may benefit by moving some carbs into protein. 50-75g would be a good start.

I have a really hard time with carbs as well. I usually stay close to my goal, but may go over a little. @Sidesteal...maybe a stupid question here, but what do you mean by moving some carbs into protein?

I assume he means to eat more of your calories from protien than you are.

You really do eat quite a bit of carbs. I would also balance out your macros a little better just to lose some of the water weight associated with high carbs. At 300+ carbs I don't think going over 10-40g is going to make much difference in terms of macros only because you eat so many carbs that the water weight you gain from eating as many as you do will probably be around the same. As long as you stay under your calorie goals you will be fine for your weight loss though.

I think it all depends WHAT kinds of carbs you are eating. I go over carbs sometimes (usually by 10-20) but I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and some have a lot of carbs (bananas, grapes, sweet potatoes, corn as examples). I don't see many fruits/veggies in your diary. I would also change your macros to aim for a little higher protein. 50% carb/25% fat/25% protein may be a good place to start.

I've found that "pre-logging" the night before to give myself a menu for the next day helps me out lots. Able to see what macros are over and what foods I need to take out/add in.

    Correct.
