    Metric and Rubblebucket both have strong female singers, backed by male musicians. Jade from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's also takes the lead for some songs... may not be your style but def worth checking out regardless :)

    check out the pretty reckless, i find they have a similar vibe but are way better

    All girl bands are harder to find but what about Hole or Belly, im an alternative guy.

    Feed The Tree by Belly is a classic!
