Pedometers?

I am new to the site and in the 6 days since I joined I have found some really good info. I will be tracking everything that I eat and my exercise. I weighed in yesterday and in 5 days lost just over 2 pounds. I have bought a small pedometer to track my steps, and I have been wondering how to log my steps/km walked using my pedometer. I have it set for 6000 steps right now. I will increase it when I get back to work. For the pasr week, I have been going between 8 and 9000 steps. Should I log all of it, just the extra or none at all and just enjoy the extra exercise. Thanks for the help

I think if what your pedometer is recording is regular daily activity, then don't record it. If it is extra activity, like walking to the store instead of driving, then make it exercise.0
