In need of advice

Hi, I was hoping someone out there in the MPF universe could help me figure out what is going on with my weight loss, or lack thereof more importantly!

I feel like I’m doing everything right, but feel free to tell me if I’m not!!

I’m logging completely faithfully – I know that not logging is only cheating myself and serves no purpose whatsoever, and I’m sure I am tracking absolutely everything that goes in my mouth. I have doubted myself about this, but I am totally strict with it. My diary is open, so scrutinise away! The meals that are just called ‘paella’ or ‘dave’s chilli’ are home made recipes put in to the database using scanned barcodes and wieghted ingredients, so should be totally accurate. Any suggestions of how to get more protein would be great too!! I’m not a fan of milk so I’m not too sure about protein shakes.

I usually NET between 1200 and 1500 cals a day, depending on exercise. I don’t follow a strict DO/DO NOT EAT YOUR EXERCISE CALORIES lol I just eat if I feel like I need more energy to workout.

I am exercising – I’m currently in week 4 of c25k, my last run is tonight and looking forward to week 5! I’m also doing Jillian Michaels’ 30 day shred, tonight is day 6 of level 2 (I’ve never sweated so much in my life doing this workout!!) I run 3 times a week, and do the dvd workout every day apart from Sundays, which is my rest day.

So, the stats:

Height: 5’7
Starting weight: 175.5lbs
Current weight: 167.5lbs
Interim goal: 159lbs (would put me in healthy BMI range)
Ultimate goal: 140-145lbs

Loss so far: 8lbs
: 2.5 inches off hips
: 2 inches off thigh

The first 6lbs came off very quickly in the first 3 weeks, and since then I’ve lost 2lbs over the last 8 weeks. I didn’t even start the exercising til about week 4, so it seems like it has slowed my loss down :frown:

I’m not letting it demotivate me because I’m sure that a downwards trend is still a good thing – I am losing just verrry verrrry slowly. I will continue with this quest, I was just hoping that someone might be able to give me a bit of advice to speed it up a bit!!

Thanks in advance

Sometimes you need to eat a bit more. You are burning calories with all that exercise. I wouldnt recommend a tremendous amount of extra calories...just experiment with adding 50-100 healthy calories and see what happens.
