30 Day Shred Question

I am seriously out of shape. I am ALWAYS tired. I want to start working out and I have read that a lot of people have success with 30 DS. I want to try but dont want to waste my money if I wont be able to do it at all.

Any of you start it even though you were a beginner at exercise or any of you seriously out of shape and still able to do the workout? I USED to be in shape but am not anymore

I found it a challenge to start with, I wasn't that out of shape but I was quite weak, I found the cardio sections and abs ok but the strength really hard.

Theres really only one way to find out though, the DVD isn't that expensive for what it is and if you really can't do it to start with you could maybe start a walking programme to ease you back into exercise?

I like the 30 ds because it got me going, I figured twenty minutes a day I can do. I felt like I would die the first week but I stuck to it and got over the hump. If you need a gentler intro to exercise, her 90 day Total body program starts off really easy but gets insane as the weeks go on, but totally worth it.

    One word for ya: YOUTUBE!!!

They have mods you can do if you are still needing to strengthen (I certainly use them). :flowerforyou:

I am/was really out of shape. The last time I went to the gym (before starting the 30DS) was probably in January this year and I had put on about 5 kgs since then so I had no energy nor strength. The first few days were a challange but it gets easier. Then you go onto the next level and again, a bit of a challenge but it gets easier. I did the second day of level 3 and was worn out and could barely keep up but I realised that I had come a LONG way from doing nothing to doing something. I can climb up the hill to my house without panting, I can run (short distances) to the train station without feeling I was going into cardiac arrest and I can see my arms getting some definition and my tummy slowly deflating.

Go as hard as you can and if you can't keep up, don't worry. There's always tomorrow to try again :)

It is challaging, but its a good place to start. I like to do it on rainy days when Im unable to get to the track. I purchaed mine on EBay for something like $7, so its not too much to purchase just to try it out. You have to start somewhere, right?

It's totally worth the small investment...it does kick your butt at first, but you do build up endurance and it gets easier....I have no doubt you have the inner strength to do it!! :flowerforyou:
  • you can get it on amazon instant video for 4.99. Its definitely challenging, but completely worth it in the end. (but thats how work outs are right?) ;)

The first time I ever started it when I was 243, i could do it. But i had to stop doing it because I was pregnant. I have off and on started stopped because I got bored. I would say since you are starting out, it is a good investment. I have started it back up again except I started on level 2 and it does kick your butt, but you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!

I only have 5lb weights at home, so when I started and realized that was insane, I switched to full water bottles instead (probably about 1lb). Then I increased my weights as it got a little easier. You could even start out the weight moves with nothing in your hands!
Take on this challenge, you can do it!!!!!
