How do you reward yourself for meeting goals? I have to make quite a few small goals because I had 188 lbs to lose. I have rewarded myself with pedicures, new clothes (kind of a necessity), and spa treatments. Looking for other ideas!
What kind of goals are you reparding yourself for and what are the rewards?
P.S. I thought this was a good place to post this question because successful people will be looking in this section and people looking to be successful are reading this section!

I've done everything from new tennis shoes to new workout clothes. Next is a Mani/Pedi. I reward myself at 15 lbs incriments.0

Here are my mini Rewards! Im right around the Corner to my 2nd goal...had a few set backs
1st Goal: 260lbs- Window Tint (achieved 4/30/12)
2nd Goal: 245lbs- HRM & Zumba for the Wii
3rd Goal: 230lbs- New Cell Phone
4th Goal: 215lbs- Mini Makeover
5th Goal: 200lbs- Skydiving
6th Goal: 185lbs- Disneyland with my Boy
7th Goal: 170lbs- New Clothes, 2pc Bathing suit
Final Goal: 160lbs- Mexican Riviera Cruise0 -
My other half has bought a pandora braclet and is getting a new bead every half stone (7lb) when she reaches maintainance she plans to get a new bead every 3 months she maintains0

We moved into a new house this March and we want to put in a pool. I said when I reach my goal we are putting it in!0

Honestly, my health, how I feel & look are the only 'rewards' I was looking for and need(ed). True story.0

my reward is feeling good and going on vacation and not feeling like I have to worry and stress about it during that time. my eating habits have changed, so I feel like i'm good to go0

While feeling better and looking better is a reward in itself, I also have to reward myself with tangible items....guess I'm just shallow and materialistic.
Any other ideas?

I haven't really thought about it until now and I don't have mini goals, but I know that my goal of 30 pounds off is to be the week before we go to the smoky mountains for spring break!0

Normally, my husband watches the kids while I get to take a hike. It's nice to get together with friends and go hiking and chatting but it takes most of the day. Although he has no problem watching them while I get away, I save this request for when I've kept my sodium in check for 28 days.0

I'm right there with you. As my weight loss is less (30 lbs) I decided to reward myself every 5 with something small like new workout shoes, or a certain amount of money for clothes shopping. I also put in rewards related to my hobbies. I knit, so a reward is yarn for a project. My final reward when I reach goal weight is a new tattoo.0

I really like this one. I spa every week everyday, so it's not really a reward for me. It would be torture not to!0 -
Every time I meet one of my goals I get a pedicure and a new pair of sneaks. Shoes just don't last as long as they did before I started exercising.0

I have been considering this for myself but until today had not considered what increments I would set:
New books for my Nook
Have my nails done
New outfit from time to time
Mini vacation to San Diego
An entire day at a spa
A new pair of pearl earrings
Just some ideas0 -
Every day is a reward for me. I just try and remember to be thankful for them.0

I want to get a tat... I think of that as my final "prize" after I lose all the weight. I like the idea of the Pandora bracelet mentioned above... the tat I want is a charm bracelet around my ankle. Maybe I could start that and for every so many pounds lost, I can add another charm to that! I've lost 8 pounds and have 63 to go, so 10 or 15-pound incriments and add on as I maintain?0

I really need to start to set goals myself. I was looking for some suggestions also. I like to set up for every 10 lbs lost.0

I am going to this for every 7lb i lose, i think it is such a good idea. I like the pandora braclet idea it will always be a reminder of your weight loss journey xx0

Money...I put away $10 for every 10 pounds lost. Upon my initial weight loss (the first 10 pounds) I would put in the amount I had lost in total up to that day; ex: first week 1 pound = $1, second week 1.5 pounds + first week 1 pound = $2.50, etc. up to my 10 pound total. Since then I put in $10 for every 10 pounds. When I reach my goal I get to spend it on ANYTHING I want. It won't be much, but I'll find something to blow it on!
Plus when I reach my goal my husband (who doesn't know this yet) is going to buy me a new diamond necklace. Nothing fancy, just pretty. Isn't that nice of him...lol!!
I do have a new set of books that I have made myself promise not to start until I hit that 50 pound mark...soon, very soon!!0 -
I don't reward myself for living a lifestyle I should have been living all along.
Just the idea of looking at myself in the mirror and seeing size 4-6 is my biggest reward, so buying new clothes becomes a necessity due to the weight lost.0 -

My first major goal is a place that we larger people like to call "onderland". When I hit 199, I will reward myself with a pair of Louboutins. I will have lost 128 lbs, so it is well worth it!
When I hit goal, 139 lbs, and maintain it for a few months, I will reward myself with plastic surgery....shocking admission. Try to lose 188 lbs and not have extra skin! I will reward myself with a new body.

I reward myself for hitting exercise goals by getting more music for my iPod. It's a circular thing, because I wouldn't walk nearly as much without the music!0

I Cannot reward myself with shoes because that means I have to wait and miss some great deals whenever saks has its semi annual sales. One thing about Louboutin’s , if you buy heels, they usually are mighty uncomfortable. The most comfortable ones are Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti.
Love shoes too much to consider them as a reward

First of all, you are not shallow or materialistic. Don't let others make you feel like that - you are working hard, and there is nothing wrong with rewarding yourself however you want :-)
Interesting post though, b/c I was thinking about this the other day, and when I hit 15 lbs, I realized that my normal reward prior to starting this journey was always food. Let's celebrate and get an ice cream cone, or a special dinner, or a donut(s), etc. Now, although I still have a long way to go, I have a different mindset, and am trying to come up with some ideas of my own. I know first and foremost, I am buying new tennis shoes today! New clothes are probably going to be around 40-50 lbs lost, but beyond that, not sure yet.0 -
yes yes health and feeling good are their own rewards, but, some of us have been so used to rewarding ourselves with food, It doesn't hurt to find new ways to pamper and reward ourselves. The "feeling good" is my every day reward, but these days when I feel like I deserve something extra for my hard work, I buy nail polish. Not only does it have an indulgent and "prettiness" appeal, it also gives me an activity that busies my hands for a while, instead of reaching for a snack. A dual purpose reward!0

I don't really feel the need to give myself rewards. Feeling and looking better is doing it for me. That said, I have been keeping the idea of buying myself flowers in the back of my head...I love fresh cut flowers, but it just seems like such an expensive, unnecessary luxury (and therefore would be the perfect treat). Just from the grocery store would be fine with me.0

I haven't met any of my goals yet. I haven't thought about it much. But I do sometimes reward myself with a sweet treat on days that I burn more calories. My first goal is to wear a size 22W again. I will buy myself a new outfit when I reach it. (maybe) Then again, fitting into some of my old clothes will be a major reward all by itself. I am horrible at creating short-term goals. (Maybe that's why I sometimes give up when I don't reach them>..<)0

Well, you go girl!! You deserve rewarding yourself with items!! I haven't done that much so seeing myself in a bikini this summer & not wanting to cover myself every minute was pretty rewarding to me. You keep up the great work & enjoy the new body with some new items as a reward for all of your dedication!!0 -
I did the charms for my bracelet and each one represents half a stone loss.
I also decided to do something for others. I bought food that weighed the amount I had lost,was 39lb at that time, and I took a photo of it all to remind me and I donated it to a charity that supports the homeless.(Salvation Army). It was a real feel good, look what I have achived moment. I really need to do it again soon as I have lost 75lb now!0
