...and have to share. Since my divorce I have moved every year. I hate it and so does my son. But we didn’t have much of a choice on moving.

Anyhow, I am now been in a 3rd floor historic apartment on the Lake downtown. Historic (while charming) means old, with no air conditioning, a *kitten* ton of stairs, no storage, shoebox closets, and occasionally… just gross. A friend recently proposed I take a look at her brother’s house to rent or potentially buy (he passed away). I somewhat dismissed the idea, as I’m simply NOT up for moving again. It’s physically, emotionally, and financially draining. I feel like I JUST unpacked again. But my son has been complaining about how he hates that we don’t have a yard anymore, and frankly – my dog needs some Prozac she hates it so bad.

So, I went and saw it. It’s perfect. Small, 3 bed, 1 bath, completely renovated to fit precisely what I need – a maintenance free home. Everything from the furnace to the roof to the kitchen sink is new. The yard is amazing. Small garage, nice basement, everything a single lady and her son need. So, looks like I will be packing again! Wish me luck that this deal goes through AND that it’s my last move for several years!!

    that is so exciting! I know how you feel...my lease is up in Dec and I will be moving no matter what. As much as I hate to move again, my place is a hell hole and I ca not stay there.
