When I am not on a treadmill I run too fast and tire out easily. I have no idea how to figure out how fast I am running when I am not on the treadmill. What can I do to try and maintain a decent pace when I am running outdoors?

Run at a conversational pace. If you can't carry on a conversation, you are running too fast. Slow down. If you don't have a running partner, talk to yourself. People won't think you're crazy. Well, maybe a little.0

Perfect! Sometimes I sing to myself when I run.0 -
I feel less crazy when I run with my dogs, hehe.. I'm cheering THEM on, not me
Do you listen to music when you run? You can find music that has a good steady not-too-fast pace and run to the music. When you're on the treadmill try to think of each step as a beat, and take note of any music that matches that beat.0
