nutrition and fitness reports

Hi all- I am just wondering if anyone noticed a seeming difference between the daily tallies and when you run the report? On Daily it seems for the most part that I am "just" under cals for the day and then I run the report for the week and it looks like I was wayyy under ...like cal intake anywhere from 500 to 1200 cals a day rather than the 1600 -1800 fluctuating daily cals I am looking for cuz I know eating too much less can sabotage wt loss....is there a setting maybe I am missing or is it just the way the site is set up??

You are probably looking at the net calories versus the calories report. I think the net takes out your exercise.0

yes but shouldnt it show the same net cals on your daily food logging page as well?? I might have eaten 2200 cals on that page but then look at the net cals report and it shows 1400 cals ....just doesnt make sense to me lol0 -
Net calories = Total calories ingested - Calories burned through exercise
Calories = Total calories ingested
So if you eat 1800 calories a day and do not eat back exercise calories your Net calories will vary wildly on the summary, while calories will be constant - however if you eat your exercise calories back your net calories will be almost constant while your calories report will vary.
The same data is represented on your food page where your total intake will be the first line in the summary - the net value is not directly presented in the summary,0 -

yes I just did the actual math for 3 days and none of it matches lol
8/14 net cals= 1900
ate 2300 cals
exerc=450
2300-450= 1850
daily page value 2338- 450 exer=1888
and its that way with the other 2 days as well....so what I am understanding from this is that the system rounds up or down depending on which one your looking at...its not an exact science but it still boils down to I ate too much this day lol and then there are other days where I only got 500 cals in but this should help try to keep it a little more even steven instead of all over the place:) thank you for your reply0
